WHY SHEEP MILK?
Lactose intolerance, along with asthma, is one of the features of the modern world. Nobody can really explain why it occurs but for those that suffer from it dairy products are no longer there to be enjoyed unless they have been chemically modified to remove the lactose enzyme which is where sheep milk comes in. Sheep milk is naturally low in lactose and can be enjoyed without modification, and that’s not all. Sheep milk has a crisp clear taste, is easily digested and can even help with eczema and other allergies. Not surprisingly it is a key ingredient in the Mediterranean diet; sheep milk has been used for many centuries to make famous and delicious cheese that include Feta, Riccota, Pecorino, Manchego and Roquefort.
The milk is also naturally homogenized which means that can be stored frozen. All in all it really is a wonderful gift from our sheep that all can enjoy, one might even say it’s from Ewe, for you, with pleasure.
